Our growing company embraces innovation and is seeking a creative Accounting Manager to advance our management team in efficiency and expertise.

The Accounting Manager will bring their accounting, finance and administration experience to facilitate efficient and streamline accounting practices along with business management acumen for our accelerated growth. Responsibilities span from AP/AR, general ledger, reporting, budgeting, payroll, client service and collaboration with the internal management team.

A career opportunity with flexibility and a traditional Monday-Friday work week. Salary commensurate with experience and education in the $50-60k range.

Essential Functions:

Accounting

  1. Manages GL entries, review and reconciliation
  2. Manages account posting, balancing and reconciliation
  3. Manages AP/AR including processing payments, bookkeeping entries in ERP Integra, deposits, reconciliation of accounts and reporting
  4. Prepares financial reports monthly, quarterly, annually and ad-hoc
  5. Prepares and issue invoices
  6. Prepares and submits quarterly tax filings
  7. Various recordkeeping including accurate AP/AR reporting and file retention
  8. Problem solves discrepancies and anomalies in Accounting and Payroll

Payroll

  1. Serves as system owner and administrator of Payroll platform, PayChex
  2. Ensures accuracy of payroll records including individual compensation, deductions, time records, paid time off calculations and employee data within the PayChex Payroll system
  3. Accurately processes weekly and ad-hoc payroll on a timely basis
  4. Implements process improvements in payroll process as needed
  5. Keeps abreast of rules and regulations impacting payroll and accounting
  6. Prepares accurate reporting of payroll tax reports and required filings to government agencies
  7. Creates and maintains accurate payroll reporting including record retention.
  8. Collaborates with management team for dual control and verification of payroll system entries, new hires, terminations, changes, etc.

Education/Certification/Licensing/Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field of study
  2. 3+ years previous accounting management experience
  3. Advanced-level Excel skills for reporting and analysis
  4. Excellent written, verbal, math and analytical skills
  5. Ability to maintain confidential information
  6. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  1. Involves working in an office environment with periodic exposure to production/manufacturing plant environment with exposure to extreme temperature, extreme noise, fumes, dust, etc.
  1. Ability to move throughout the facilities regularly
  2. No other unusual physical demands or environmental factors
  3. Ability to speak, hear and see
